Like any business, growth spurts are exciting and feedback from customers as we refine our efforts to support you, makes all the difference. Below is a summary of our achievements to date as well as an update on the new developments that are imminent. SAABC hit some exciting 2011 achievements:
- We launched our new Online Subscription Platform which continues to receive daily subscribers from around the world. Aside from the obvious England, Australia, India, Ireland, United States, and Canada … we’ve seen a flurry of subscribers coming in from United Arab Emirates, Israel, Portugal, Greece, Spain, Sweden, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, South Korea, Mexico, Russia and of course many across Africa such as Zambia, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Tanzania, and Mozambique.
- We formed a strategic alliance with SACCA (South African Chamber of Commerce in America) recognizing our complimentary missions: SACCA to drive business and investment to South Africa; SAABC to drive the success of global South African Business professionals.
- We formed an alignment with Brand South Africa on their Global South Africans initiative as well as with the South African Embassy in their quest to draw from the South African diaspora not only to help brand the country but also to engage those South African expats who would like to contribute and support capacity building projects in South Africa itself. Keep a look out for several events and activities this year as we continue to build out these relationships globally!
- We developed and launched our Product Promotions Platform which allows our Subscribers to offer special deals to the SAABC community … some of which you won’t find on any shop shelf!
An exciting look ahead: As consumers, we have long embraced word of mouth as our primary method of gaining trust and doing business with someone. Growing up in South Africa that meant a quick call to a friend or family member to find the right lawyer, accountant or doctor but as we all moved into the global community there was no longer our grass roots network of trusted advisors to draw from. Over the years SAABC has dealt with thousands of requests for such referrals and this has led us to create our service and product platforms. |  |
- Our SAABC Services platform is now live! We have just launched our online posting site for you to offer your professional services to South Africans around the world. Ever wanted an SA doctor, accountant, or attorney in your new hometown? This is where you will find them! As SAABC Subscribers you will be able to search for service providers by profession, industry or location and make contact with them directly. As a Service Provider you will be able to upload your information and services thereby getting your product or service out into the global South African business community. SPECIAL OFFER: Currently the first 20 SAABC subscribers who register for our Services online receive a 30-day free trial. - SAABC Business Blog is launching within the next two weeks! If you have not yet subscribed to our platform do so now so that you receive notice of our blog launch.
- SAABC Business Forums are in development! By the end of February we will be launching our online business forums to support networking and discussions amongst like-minded groups within business sectors, industry sectors, special interest groups, regions etc. STAY TUNED! And be sure to SUBSCRIBE and note the forums you are interested in so that you receive an invitation to join those groups.
- SAABC Job Postings are scheduled for launch by the end of the 1st quarter 2012. This will allow business to post job opportunities to the plethora of highly qualified, experienced South african business community around the world.
- HOLD THE DATE: Our 6th Annual SAABC “SAA Golf Classic” West is set for Friday September 7th in San Francisco - watch for details of the evening business dinner with top notch speakers which is open to all, not just golfers. … BIG PRIZES FOR ALL! Contact us quickly to reserve sponsorship and eminence for your business!
- SAABC is in planning phase for several events across the country – more to come so be sure to be subscribed to our event notifications.
