10-time PGA Tour winner, South African native, David Frost, “Frosty” cracked into the PGA Champions Tour 2010 winner’s circle in August, winning his first Tour event in 13 years at the 3M Championship in Blaine, MN. He surpassed the $10 million in career earnings after that win making it to the top 50 all-time leading money winners in PGA Champions Tour history.

David Frost is a 2-time winner of the South African Open, has three Million Dollar Challenge trophies, and a grand total of 23 championships worldwide.

Together with his brother Michel, David Frost established a 300-acre vineyard in South Africa in 1994. Frost Wines produces 7,000 cases / year, consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc.

We asked him to share with us his thoughts on our personal profile questions … no doubt you will see that humor come through!

Where were you born? Bellville, Cape Town

What school/s did you attend? De Kuilen – Kuils River and Paarl Boys High-Paarl.

What is your university/college qualification & college? South African police college.

What is your current title and company? Professional golfer.

What has been your greatest/most interesting international achievement? Winning 10 events on the PGA tour 1985 – present.

1. When you were little what did you most want to be when you grew up? A sportsman of some sort.

2. What is your idea of perfect happiness? Seeing the ones I love smile.

3. What is your greatest fear? Hitting over water 280 yards carry.

4. Which historical figure do you most identify with? FW de Klerk.

5. Which living person do you most admire? Nelson Mandela.

6. What is the trait you most deplore in others? Being rude.

7. Which South African words or phrases do you most overuse? Ag no man

8. What is your greatest regret? Not winning a major.

9. Which talent would you most like to have? Playing the piano.

10. What do you consider your greatest achievement? Winning the 1989 world series of golf.

11. What is your most treasured possession? A collection of golf clubs (4) dating back to 1865.

12. Where would you like to live? On a vineyard.

13. What do you most value in your friends? Picking up where you left off, even if it may be after two years of seeing each other.

14. What is your most marked characteristic? Leaning on my putter.

15. How would you like to die? In my sleep.

16. If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing what or who would it be? Knowing what I know now, coming back in charge of World War II, and not sending in the American troops at Normandy.

17. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be? Not be in a daze and to be more spontaneous.

18. What is your current state of mind? Not being in complete control of current circumstances.

19. What is your favorite occupation? Doing what I do, being a successful professional golfer.

David has supported SAABC's annual golf fundraiser for over 6 years by sharing golfing tips with players on the course and giving tastings of his FROST WINES.

23. What would we never guess about you? That I used to be a cop.

24. What are the best lessons in life you have learnt from a pet? Waking up every day to a new day.
